Gemini and Capricorn

Gemini can complement the wisdom and experience of Capricorn provided both are willing to communicate. Sometimes both have to agree or disagree. Capricorn is steady and controlled and Gemini is fond of change. Capricorn does not always understand the highly strong, quicksilver ways of Gemini. Although very different, each can enrich the other with gifts etc .Oddly enough, this is a relationship that can work for the wrong reason. Capricorns can be real workaholics. As far as the Gemini is concerned, it gives them a license to leap about town having a terrific time and no questions asked . "Quoted from www.findyourfate.com"

Key word is communication. Nothing is impossible in this world. Nothing is 100% bad nor 100% good. The reason why life is interesting is because we learn new things everyday. Imagine if life is so predictable and we know what is going to happen next, aint we just going thru motions and what is the different between us and a well programmed robot?

I am a believer in star signs and during the 3 kingdom days, Zhuge Liang was able to use stars to predict the future. However I also believe that life and faith lies in the control of one’s hands. Stars can tell us what CAN happen, but I, will be able to determine what WILL happen.

Communication is a key to most success. Most of the time, quarrels and arguments arise from mis-communication which leads to misunderstanding. Rightly pointed out by the above extract, no matter how incompatible the both zodiac signs can be, as long as both are willing to communicate, the returns will be double. Why double? Firstly both will be able to complement for each other shortfall (eliminate shortfall), and later converting shortfall to attribute advantages (my limited vocabulary).

Side note: Communication goes 2 ways. Input and output. Without either one, that is not communication.

So at the end of the day, mine believes is that we have all the zodiac/horoscopes/astrology/ect signs, but whether a relationship work out or not, it mainly depend on the 2 person that is in the relationship. Some may be very smooth (maybe this apply to those with very compatible signs), some may be rough (those not so compatible signs). But which make a stronger relationship? I would say is the one that is able to go thru thick and thin, one that comes out from the storm stronger. A relationship that can withstand the rough sea will be one that harvest a stronger couple that understand and appreciate the other better.

Time to bring out the BOOKS

Wednesday, last day of "holiday" before lesson starts. After spending 7 years away from academic study, I have once again opened up my dusty locker and brought out my study pen and notebook to arm myself for this 3 year long battle. I know, many expect nothing less then a sweet victory and this is what i must do.

Life is slow here. The weather has been pretty wet since arriving here. For the past few days, I have made many new friends from different part of the world. My house mates in Marris House are wonderful. 3 guys and 3 girls sharing 1 common kitchen. I am sharing 1 side of the house with 2 other guys, 1 from Greek and the other from France. On the other side are 3 ladies, 2 from Germany and 1 from Spain and all of them speaks very good English.

I have also met up with most of the Singapore students studying in Newcastle. 2 of them are exchange students from NTU whom will be with us for 1 semester. Needless to say, I am the oldest among the first year Singapore students. For the past few days i felt rejuvenate from the energy, voice and laughter of these new friends. Maybe it is because during the last 7 years, I have been spending most of my time working with alot more senior people, thus I have always felt that I am aging.

Plan for today, marketing, shopping, library, sleep.

Signing off

Where is eric????

Three months without a post… … what happen to Eric???

I've neglected my blog for quite sometime. Being very busy preparing and seating for exams in the last two month; also traveling around.

Academically, some of my exam results were rather disappointing. Most fell short of the 1st class passing marks. Those that were 75 and above, I felt I could have done better to bring up my average. Anyway no point grieving over things that have passed. Now my focus is on Wed CDR and Thurs Transmission paper. I know I can, I will persist, I will prevail. I am ERIC TAN BOON CHONG; always blessed!!!

Wahaha!!! Opps… … Got carried away… …

Done a fair bit of traveling in UK during the 2 weeks winter break. Headed up north west. If I were to put everything in words, it will take me days to complete this post. Let the picture do the talking.

Took a 3 hrs train from Gosport to Swindon to meet up with 1 x RSN 2LT Jenny; 1 x SAF Army CPT "Boss", 1 x RSAF CPT “Boss” wife, and 2 x DSTA officers, Mick and YJ.

Stayed in Swindon for a week and traveled to the following places.

Spend lots of money on clothes during the winter sales and lots of money on food. *cough* Chinese food *cough* Also caught Les Miserables in London. Before heading home, did some stock up for my room.

During New Years Day, no food was provided in the wardroom. Had to make my own food.
Scrumptious right?

There are trillion more pictures and adventures that weren’t posted. Night trip to Stone Henge, Zoo trip in London and etc…

Gone was 2005, now year 2006. I did not really have a good start to the New Year. Not that because I am away from home, but I lost a close friend during this Chinese New Year to a fatal car accident. Upon receiving the news, the first thing on my mind was to fly back to Singapore to pay my last respect and accompany this friend on his last journey to final transformation in God's love. However, when I called home, Singapore discouraged my action, and the school could not release me unless Singapore gives approval. Military, teaches you to be discipline, one order, one movement. To go with my heart and fly back, miss and risk failing 2 exams, or do the more sensible thing, stay and complete my course. I was totally lost during that few days, couldn’t sleep well and couldn’t concentrate on my work. In the end, I stayed. It is me who chose to be in the military. Responsibility over Emotion, that is what I should master, that is what must do.

Frederick you will always be remembered.
